In March 2022, the government of Canada announced the investment of CAD 4 billion (approximately USD 3.2 billion) to stimulate the digital transformation of the country's small and medium-sized enterprises through the Canada Digital Adoption Program. The funding for the programme was initially allocated in the 2021 federal budget.
