Germany: Reduction of track access charges for long-distance passenger rail travel and rail freight (COVID-19)

In July 2021, the European Commission has approved Germany's temporary grant scheme to support long-distance and international passenger rail travel in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, the German authorities increased the budget of an already existing aid scheme to promote rail freight transport.
