In May 2009, the government of India imposed a provisional duty and a definitive duty was imposed in October 2009. The definitive duty was extended for a new period in August 2015 following the conclusion of a sunset review initiated in March 2014. In December 2019, a new sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended in August 2020. In March 2025, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in November 2025.
