Canada: Extension of definitive antidumping duties on imports of certain hot-rolled carbon steel plate and high-strength low alloy steel plate from Brazil, Denmark, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, and the Republic of Korea, as well as termination of provisional antidumping duty of imports from Chinese Taipei

In September 2013, the Canadian authorities initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of certain hot-rolled carbon steel plate and high-strength low alloy steel plate from Brazil, Chinese Taipei, Denmark, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, and the Republic of Korea. In January 2014, a provisional duty was imposed. In April 2014, the provisional duty on imports from Chinese Taipei was terminated. In May 2014, a definitive duty was imposed on imports from Brazil, Denmark, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, and the Republic of Korea. In May 2019, a sunset review was initiated, and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in March 2020. In February 2025, a sunset review was initiated, and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in December 2025.
