In September 2020, the Vietnamese authorities initiated an antidumping and anti-subsidy investigation on imports of sugarcane products from Thailand. In February 2021, a provisional duty was imposed. In June 2021, a definitive duty was imposed. In September 2021, an anti-circumvention investigation on imports from Cambodia, Lao, Myanmar and Indonesia was initiated. In August 2022, the definitive duty was extended to imports from Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao, Malaysia, and Myanmar following the conclusion of an anti-circumvention investigation.
