In June 2020, the Japanese authorities initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of dipotassium carbonate from the Republic of Korea. In March 2021, a provisional duty was imposed. In June 2021, a definitive duty was imposed. In August 2025, a sunset review was initiated, and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in July 2026.
