In May 2011, the government of India initiated a sunset review and extended the definitive antidumping duty in August 2012. A sunset review was initiated in August 2017. In November 2017, the duty was terminated.

Anti-dumping
On May 30, 2011, the Indian authorities initiated a second sunset review of the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of metronidazole (an anti-diarrhea and anti-microbial drug) from China.
