On November 22, 2019, The Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) announced it would support Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd., with 110 billion yen (1.01 billion USD) worth of export financing to the Bangladeshi government-operated Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC).
