In January 2019, the European Investment Bank (EIB) and Foresight Group LLP signed an agreement to establish an investment fund. The investment fund will target renewable energy projects and related infrastructure mainly in the United Kingdom. The EIB financing will be guaranteed by the European Fund for Strategic Investment (EFSI).
