In July 2019, the European Investment Bank (EIB) signed a loan agreement with Piaggio & C SpA to support the company's development of products and technologies in the area scooters, motorcycles and certain light commercial vehicles. The loan will be guaranteed by the European Fund for Strategic Investment (EFSI).
