On 26 March 2014, the Jordanian Cabinet approved the imposition of export duty on iron waste for six months (1 April 2014 to 1 October 2014). On 22 October 2014, the cabinet approved an extension of this decision for another six months (2 November 2014 to 2 June 2015).
