On 2 May 2017, Egyptian Ministry of Trade and Industry issued Ministerial Decree No. 631/2017 to apply an export duty on crest leather. It was extended in 2018 by Ministerial Decree no. 343/2018 and further extended in 2019 by Ministerial Decree No. 387/2019.
