In December 2018, the European Investment Bank (EIB) signed a loan agreement with Societatea Nationala de Transport Gaze Naturale Transgaz SA (Transgaz SA) to support its construction of a new gas transmission pipeline. The new pipeline will connect the gas production in the Black Sea to Austria, Bulgaria, Hungry and Romania.
