In March 2019, the members of SACU initiated a safeguard investigation on imports of certain threaded fasteners of iron or steel. In July 2019, a provisional duty was imposed. In January 2020, a definitive duty was imposed. In March 2023, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in July 2023.
