In December 2018, the European Investment Bank (EIB) signed a loan agreement with Sonae MC SGPS, SA to support its project concerning food waste reduction, energy consumption efficiency and sustainable operations. The loan will be guaranteed by the European Fund for Strategic Investment (EFSI).
