In May 2012, the Canadian authorities initiated antidumping and anti-subsidy investigations on imports of certain steel piling pipes from China. In August 2012, a provisional duty was imposed. In November 2012, a definitive duty was imposed. In August 2017, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duties and countervailing duties were extended for a new period in July 2018. In March 2023, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in February 2024.
