In August 2018, the European Commission initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of urea and ammonium nitrate from Russia, Trinidad and Tobago and the United States. In April 2019, a provisional duty was imposed. In October 2019, a definitive duty was imposed. In October 2024, a sunset review was initiated, and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in January 2026.
