On 29 December 2017, the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China issued Announcement No. 83 of 2017, which initiates an antidumping investigation on imports of n-Butanol from Chinese Taipei, Malaysia and the United States. In September 2018, a provisional duty was imposed. In December 2018, a definitive duty was imposed. In December 2023, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in December 2024.
