On March 1, 2016, the Brazilian Government issued Provisional Measure 714 increasing the foreign ownership cap in domestic airlines from 20% to 49%.

Local labour requirement

Provisional Measure 714, issued by the Brazilian Government on March 1, 2016, also eliminated the requirement that directors of airlines must be exclusively Brazilian nationals.
