In October 2017, the European Commission initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of electric bicycles from China. In January 2019, a definitive duty was imposed. The definitive duty was reimposed in March 2023. In January 2024, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in January 2025.
