As part of its Strategic Trade Policy Framework 2015-2018, Pakistan's Ministry of Commerce has announced the Product Development Incentive Order, 2016 to provide a matching financial support to SME's and export firms in certain sectors importing plant and equipment for upgradation of technology. The Order provides higher incentives to SME's and targets the leather, pharmaceutical, fisheries, and surgical equipment industry.
