In September 2017, the Indian Directorate General of Antidumping & Allied Duties, Ministry of Commerce and Industry initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of straight length bars and rods of alloy steel from China. In October 2018, a definitive duty was imposed. In February 2021, the definitive duty was temporarily suspended.
