According to the WTO, on 31 December 2013, Moldova introduced a VAT reduction (from 20% to 8%) on imports of sugar beet; waste and scrap of primary cells, primary batteries and electric accumulators; and long-term material assets used in the manufacturing of products and a temporary VAT exemption on imports of certain agricultural machinery.
