Operating under a provision of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Tax Act of 2009 that directed it make payments for specified energy properties, the U.S. Treasury awarded $243,715,009 in subsidies to Tonopah Solar Energy, LLC for a solar electricity project in the state of Nevada.
