In April 2017, the Republic of Korea initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of PET film from Chinese Taipei, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates. In November 2017, a provisional antidumping duty was imposed. In April 2018, a definitive duty was imposed. In December 2020, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in December 2021.
