In June 2017, the Commissioner of the Australian Anti-Dumping Commission initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of steel reinforcing bar from several countries as well as individual firms. A provisional duty was imposed in November 2017. In March 2018, a definitive duty was imposed. In March 2022, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in February 2023. In February 2023, the definitive duty was terminated on imports originating from Thailand.
