In February 2011, the government of Turkiye initiated a new safeguard investigation. Definitive safeguard duties were imposed 8 November 2011. A sunset review was initiated in 2014 and again in 2017. In November 2017, the duty was extended for an additional period following the conclusion of a sunset review.
