China: Administrative approval obligation suspended for various foreign-owned enterprise forms

6th September 2016 - An announcement from the PRC National People's Congress removed the requirement for 'Foreign-owned Entreprises' and three other types of businesses, to seek approval from local administrators unless their business is on a 'negative list' of prohibited types of firms.

The law comes into effect after successful pilot programs conducted in several Free Trade Zones in China.
