In March 2017, the Japanese authorities initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of carbon steel butt welding fittings from China and the Republic of Korea. A provisional duty was imposed in December 2017 and in March 2018, a definitive duty was imposed. In March 2023, the definitive duty was terminated.
