In March 2017, the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of methyl isobutyl ketone from the Republic of Korea, Japan and South Africa. Definitive duties were imposed in March 2018. In March 2023, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in March 2024.
