Operating under a provision of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Tax Act of 2009 that directed it make payments for specified energy properties, the U.S. Treasury awarded $141,886,849 in subsidies to Silver States Solar Power South, LLC for a solar electricity project in the state of Nevada.
