The Ministry of Labour and Social Development of Saudi Arabia on 11 January 2017, announced that it will extend the job advertisement period on the national virtual labour market platform Taqat Gateway. This signifies, that employers operating in the Saudi jurisdiction, will be obliged to for a longer period of time advertise their open vacancies primarily to Saudi professionals only– therefore, fostering higher localisation of the Saudi labour market.
