9th of April 2012 - the Chinese Ministry of Taxation announced in Notice No16/2012 that import tariffs on 'new display technologies' and related products were abolished to promote growth in the industry. The measure was renewed in the 13th Five-Year plan, to continue up to the end thereof (in 2020).
