The Pakistan's Ministry of Finance, Economic Affairs, Statistic and Revenue through SRO 40(I)/2017 allowed customs duty exemption on the imports of equipment, if they are not manufactured locally, and are to be used in the Lahor Orange Line Metro Project. The cost of this project is estimated to be USD 1.6 billion.
