In February 2017, the Indian Directorate General of Antidumping & Allied Duties, Ministry of Commerce and Industry initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of polyester staple fibre from China, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand. The investigation was terminated in January 2018 without the imposition of duties.
