In December 2016, the Mexican Ministry of Economy initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of certain carbon and alloyed steel pipes from China. A provisional duty was imposed in August 2017. A definitive duty was imposed in March 2018. In March 2023, a sunset review was initiated.
