In November 2016, the Secretary for Foreign Trade of the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade decided to initiate an anti-subsidy investigation on imports of certain hot-rolled steel products from China. In May 2018, a definitive duty was imposed and subsequently suspended due to public interest concerns.
