In November 2016, the Pakistani National Tariff Commission initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of sulphonic acid originating in or exported from China, India, Indonesia, Iran, the Republic of Korea and Chinese Taipei. In May 2017 a provisional antidumping duty was imposed and a definitive duty was imposed in January 2018. In May 2022, a sunset review was initiated.
