South Africa: Government approves certain PPPFA exemptions

Announcement

07 Dec 2011

On 7 December 2011, the South African government exempted several sectors from the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (PPPFA) until December 7, 2012. As a consequence, new bids carried out by different SOEs on the targeted sectors do not need to comply with the public procurement rules that usually apply to public bids.
