Indonesia: Eased restrictions on sugar imports

On 23 December 2015, the Indonesian Ministry of Trade issued regulation 117/M-DAG/PER/12/2015 easing the restrictions on imports of sugar. However, the provisions still include that "sugar imports shall be restricted" (art. 2(1) of the regulation; own translation) and they will only be allowed to ensure the availability and price stability of sugar on the Indonesian market (art. 4).
