On September 2014, the Egyptian Ministry of Trade and Industry announced an export duty on waste plastic and paper for one year. On August 2015, the imposed levels were extended for one more year. On August 2016, the export duty on waste plastic was extended and the export duty on waste paper was increased for one year.
