In December 2021, the government of Argentina initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of sodium benzoate from China and the Netherlands. In May 2022, a provisional duty was imposed. In October 2022, a definitive duty was imposed. In June 2023, the definitive duty was temporarily suspended.
