In March 2021, the European Commission approved budget increases amounting to PLN 1677 million (approx. USD 434 million) for three Polish aid schemes to further support businesses affected by the COVID-19 outbreak. Support under these measures is provided as direct grants and repayable advances (1st scheme), loans with subsidised interest rates and loan guarantees for investments and working capital (2nd scheme) or favourable loans and loan guarantees (3rd scheme), see related state acts.
