In July 2012, the government of Brazil initiated a new anti-dumping investigation on imports of tyres for motor cars from Chinese Taipei, the Republic of Korea, Thailand, and Ukraine. In January 2014, a definitive duty was imposed. In January 2019, a sunset review was initiated. In January 2020, the definitive duty was extended for a new period on imports from Chinese Taipei, the Republic of Korea, and Thailand, whilst the duty was immediately suspended on imports from the Republic of Korea, and terminated on imports from Ukraine. In January 2025, a sunset review was initiated on imports from Chinese Taipei and Thailand. In December 2025, the definitive duty was extended for a new period on imports from Chinese Taipei and Thailand, whilst the duty was immediately suspended on imports from Chinese Taipei.
