In March 2020, Australia initiated anti-dumping and countervailing duty investigations on imports of precision pipe and tube steel from China and the Republic of Korea. In September 2021, a definitive countervailing duty was imposed on imports from China, and anti-dumping duty on imports from China and the Republic of Korea. In October 2025, a sunset review was initiated.
