In March 2020, the Egyptian Ministry of Trade and Industry announced an export ban on all kinds of legumes for three months in response to the outbreak of COVID-19. Later on, beans, peas, and peanuts were excluded from this Decree.
In June 2020, the Ministry of Trade and Industry extended the export ban on certain vegetables for an additional period of three months.
