In April 2024, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action launched the first programme call under the seventh national civil aviation research programme. Under the programme call, the Ministry provides financial grants to companies' research and technology development projects in the field of aircraft systems that focus on "climate-neutral flying".
