In April 2013, the United States initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of diffusion-annealed, nickel-plated flat-rolled steel products from Japan. The investigation is still in progress. In November 2013, a provisional duty was imposed. The investigation is still in progress. In May 2014, a definitive duty was imposed. In April 2019, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in October 2019. In September 2024, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in April 2025 (applicable duty extension date in March 2025).
