On 9 April 2010, the government of India imposed a registration requirement for exports of cotton yarn. Export of cotton yarn now have to be registered with the Textile Commissioner prior to shipment.

On 13 May 2010, the government of Pakistan imposed a temporary export duty on "all types of yarn". For two months, all types of exported yarn a subject to a regulatory duty of 15 percent.

On 6 June 2010, the government of Pakistan lowered and reduced import tariffs for certain specialized equipment.
Imports of machinery such as rice whiteners and milk filters may now enter the country duty free.

Brazil: Temporary import tariff reduction on IT equipment
Description
On 15 December 2009, the government of Brazil temporarily reduced import duties on certain IT products. Until 31 December 2010, these productswill be subject to a tariff of 2 percent, down from 12 percent.
UK: Temporary caps on migrant worker permits
Description
On 19 July 2010, the government of the UK introduced caps on the number of work permits issued to highly skilled (Tier 1) and skilled (Tier 2) foreign workers. The ceilings will be in place until 31 March 2011.
